Q&C

Honorable Mention | Graphis New Talent | 2024

This is the home screen of the website designed for a hotel rebranding in New Orleans. It is a historic railway hotel, so the rebranding is based off of things found at railways like brass and timetables. The aim was to make the hotel have a very refined luxurious feel about it that honors it’s history. Use of color over black and white photography gives it a more modern feel while other elements are updated versions of history. Some products were designed after wine bottles which have the same sophistication and age as the railway.

Flower Alphabet

Best of Typeface & Lettering | National Student Show | 2024

There is also a snippet of the flower typeface I designed by hand with real flowers. It is based on an italic serif, and the whole thing was done by hand and photographed by me. I actually used the flowers my husband bought me each week of our engagement leading up to our wedding which makes this project super special to me.

Volcanica Packaging

Last but not least is a more recent project, a special edition coffee package for Volcanica's dark roast beans. The brand sells beans from Volcano sites internationally, but this package supports farmers in rural Guatemala by convincing customers to buy more beans from that area through the brand. The design is based on Mayan Stele statues, and the concept of Volcanoes being the opening to the underworld. The skull is an interpretation of the Mayan god of the underworld, and the package would be made from stone replica resin with a lava red interior.
